Zone Article and Radio Interview
Theodore Doucas, a Principal at Zone was asked to comment on a recent issue of intellectual property infringement in a national online newspaper. Read the Article published on Stuff.co.nz here.

New Team Members
We are pleased to welcome two new staff members this month.
Ed Chisholm joins Zone as a Law Clerk. Ed graduated from Victoria University last year where he developed an interest in commercial law. Ed will work in the general practice team, assisting the lawyers with property/conveyancing and other business matters.
Harlan Head joins Zone as an Administrative Assistant. Harlan will work in the trade marks team advising clients on post-registration matters including renewals and our watching services. Harlan will assist with business communications, administration, and the day-to-day running of the office. He joins from a hospitality background and is looking forward to developing new skills in the IP field.
May and June Holiday Hours
Zone will be closed for business on Monday 7th of June for the Queen’s Birthday Holiday. Please note the New Zealand Intellectual Property Office will also be closed.
IP Australia’s Office will be closed on Monday 31st of May for Reconciliation Day, and on Monday 14th of June, for Queen’s Birthday.
Applications and documents submitted on these dates will have the following working day as their filing date. If the deadline for filing an application or document falls on these dates, then the application or document will be filed the following day.
