The 2024 IP Stars list has been revealed. This recognises senior practitioners who have been identified and recommended as leaders in their firm and jurisdiction. All of us at Zone Law are delighted to congratulate Theodore Doucas with this recognition!

Theodore Doucas, Karen Doucas, and Chris Sheehan attended INTA 2024 held in Atlanta, US. They spent their time attending the conference, catching up with old friends and establishing new connections. Here’s some photos from the Cocktail Function we hosted!

New Staff
Since our last newsletter we have had some new staff join our team.
Nicky Biggar – Senior Trademarks Consultant in the trade marks team in our Auckland office.
Rose Gallon – Lawyer in the commercial team in our Auckland office.
Joshua Daniel (JD) Ward – Law clerk in the trade marks team in our Wellington office.
Fiona Hartzuiker – Paralegal in the trade marks team in our Wellington office.
Office Relocation for Auckland
Due to quick growth, we have taken the opportunity to relocate. We are pleased to announce we are now located on Level 2, 2 Princes Street, Auckland. Feel free to pop in for a visit!
Matariki (Public holiday)
Matariki is a New Zealand public holiday celebrating the appearance of a star cluster constellation which marks the beginning of the new year in the Māori lunar calendar.
Our Auckland and Wellington Offices will be closed for business on Friday 28 June 2024. The Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand will also be closed on that day. Applications and documents submitted on these dates will have the following working day as their filing date. If the deadline for filing an application or document falls on this date, then the deadline will shift to the following working day.
We will have skeleton crew available to attend to any filings in Australia.
